Leslie Blacklock

I paint from my heart…

…what I know…the prairies, cows (Herefords!), clouds and elevators and beautiful north-central Saskatchewan of the RM of Paddockwood and the nearby lakes and National Park.

I paint primarily in acrylic, but also explore in watercolour and graphite.

Barns & Elevators

Leslie’s first solo show and sale opened at the Grace Campbell Gallery in the John M Cuelenaere Library in Prince Albert on October 29 and ran until November 30, 2021.

The PA Daily Herald, Tuesday, November 9 stated: “Her paintings reflect her personality and have a bright and energetic vibe, which is a deliberate choice in her approach.”

I like my painting technique to show energy of the joyful variety so I feel my most successful work is when it’s had energy, physically, in the painting of it.

Leslie’s work is held in private collections in Toronto, Ontario; Airdrie, Canmore and Hinton, Alberta; and Prince Albert, Moose Jaw and Emma Lake, Saskatchewan.
